George “Tres” Arnett

General Counsel

George Arnett, known as “Tres”, is Insigneo’s General Counsel. He leads the Legal, Risk and Compliance functions of the firm. For many years, he served as the international attorney for Pershing LLC where he was a Managing Director and Chief Legal Officer for Pershing Securities Canada, Ltd. Earlier in his career, he served as a Deputy Attorney General in the New Jersey Division of Criminal Justice where he prosecuted securities manipulators and money launderers. He is a graduate of Yale College with a bachelor’s degree in Economics and Political Science and a juris doctorate degree from Georgetown University Law Center. Currently, he serves on the Legal and Regulatory Affairs Committee of the Florida International Bankers Association and is the author of “Global Securities Markets: Navigating the World’s Exchanges and OTC Markets” published by Wiley in 2011. Tres enjoys fly-fishing and is a former trustee of the Catskill Fly Fishing Center and Museum.

Tres is a member of the New York and New Jersey bars and holds FINRA Series 7, 24 and 63 licenses.
