Francisco Nuñez

Office of the CEO – Executive Director

Francisco Nuñez has been in the Office of the CEO since 2017. He has more than 24 years of experience in the financial services industry of which 15 were spent with Citibank, N.A. Prior to joining Citibank, he worked for four years at Banco Cuscatlán de El Salvador, S.A. His experience in the financial services industry ranges from various roles within Citibank El Salvador as Director of Corporate & Investment Banking, Commercial Banking and Consumer Banking. He also supervised the Corporate Finance business for Citibank Honduras, Nicaragua and Costa Rica. Throughout his investment banking career, Francisco has specialized in bank and capital markets, special situations, structured finance and M&A transactions with total deal volume in excess of US$4 billion. In the financial advisory segment, Francisco was responsible for launching the Citigold brand in El Salvador, reaching an excess of US$200 million in assets under management.

Since 2014, Francisco is also President of Insigneo Capital, S.A. and Insigneo Financial Advisors, S.A. As President of Insigneo Capital, an asset management company, Francisco and his team are responsible for the origination and structuring of private equity and credit opportunities throughout the Americas. As President of Insigneo Financial Advisors, a financial advisory services firm for high net worth and affluent clients, Francisco and his team serve clients in various countries in the Central America region.

Francisco has previously served on the Board of Directors for Banco Citibank El Salvador and Seguros e Inversiones, S.A. (SISA). Currently, he serves on the Board of Directors of the Children’s Museum of El Salvador (Museo Tin Marin), is a founding member of the Salvadoran Foundation for Economic and Social Development (FUSADES) and is part of the Young President’s Organization (YPO) chapter in El Salvador. Francisco graduated with honors in Economics and Business Management from the University of Dallas, Texas. Francisco enjoys running and playing golf.
