Guillermo Acosta has been a part of the Insigneo Group of Companies and its predecessor firms since 1995. Currently, he provides support to our various institutional relationships including Registered Investment Advisors and sub-clearing partners. He is also responsible for ensuring fluidity and accuracy across the firm’s revenue contracts with our 150+ independent financial advisors.

Previously, for over 15 years, he was responsible for the operations of the Emerging Markets sales/trading business which involved recording/settling 300+ trades per day across offices with 600+ clients spread across Latin America, the US and the UK. Guillermo has a discerning palate and enjoys spending time with good friends and family. He holds FINRA Series 7, 24 and 63 licenses.

George “Tres” Arnett

George Arnett, known as “Tres”, is Insigneo’s General Counsel. He leads the Legal, Risk and Compliance functions of the firm. For many years, he served as the international attorney for Pershing LLC where he was a Managing Director and Chief Legal Officer for Pershing Securities Canada, Ltd. Earlier in his career, he served as a Deputy Attorney General in the New Jersey Division of Criminal Justice where he prosecuted securities manipulators and money launderers. He is a graduate of Yale College with a bachelor’s degree in Economics and Political Science and a juris doctorate degree from Georgetown University Law Center. Currently, he serves on the Legal and Regulatory Affairs Committee of the Florida International Bankers Association and is the author of “Global Securities Markets: Navigating the World’s Exchanges and OTC Markets” published by Wiley in 2011. Tres enjoys fly-fishing and is a former trustee of the Catskill Fly Fishing Center and Museum.

Tres is a member of the New York and New Jersey bars and holds FINRA Series 7, 24 and 63 licenses.

Francisco Nuñez


Francisco Nuñez has been the Chief Financial Officer of Insigneo since 2017. He has more than 24 years of experience in the financial services industry of which 15 were spent with Citibank, N.A. Prior to joining Citibank, he worked for four years at Banco Cuscatlán de El Salvador, S.A. His experience in the financial services industry ranges from various roles within Citibank El Salvador as Director of Corporate & Investment Banking, Commercial Banking and Consumer Banking. He also supervised the Corporate Finance business for Citibank Honduras, Nicaragua and Costa Rica. Throughout his investment banking career, Francisco has specialized in bank and capital markets, special situations, structured finance and M&A transactions with total deal volume in excess of US$4 billion. In the financial advisory segment, Francisco was responsible for launching the Citigold brand in El Salvador, reaching an excess of US$200 million in assets under management.

Since 2014, Francisco is also President of Insigneo Capital, S.A. and Insigneo Financial Advisors, S.A. As President of Insigneo Capital, an asset management company, Francisco and his team are responsible for the origination and structuring of private equity and credit opportunities throughout the Americas. As President of Insigneo Financial Advisors, a financial advisory services firm for high net worth and affluent clients, Francisco and his team serve clients in various countries in the Central America region.

Francisco has previously served on the Board of Directors for Banco Citibank El Salvador and Seguros e Inversiones, S.A. (SISA). Currently, he serves on the Board of Directors of the Children’s Museum of El Salvador (Museo Tin Marin), is a founding member of the Salvadoran Foundation for Economic and Social Development (FUSADES) and is part of the Young President’s Organization (YPO) chapter in El Salvador. Francisco graduated with honors in Economics and Business Management from the University of Dallas, Texas. Francisco enjoys running and playing golf.

Darcie Burk

Darcie enjoyed a distinguished and successful career in the financial services industry at both Merrill Lynch and Citibank from 1981 to 2017. She spent 28 years with Merrill Lynch, starting her career at the Office of the Treasurer and later working at various Capital Markets trading desks where she ran the Global Fixed Income and Equity Agency teams for the International Private Client Group. Darcie subsequently held several senior management roles in the International Private Client Group, including Head of North Latin America Sales, Manager of the Beverly Hills International Office, Head of Regional Sales for Asia, Global Head of International Private Client Marketing and the Head of Merrill Lynch’s US Asian Complexes. During her last seven years at Merrill Lynch, Darcie ran the Latin America Wealth Management Business and served as a member of Merrill Lynch’s Executive Management Team for the Americas.

In 2010, Darcie joined Citi Private Bank as the COO for Global Managed Investments and then became the Global Investments COO. She worked in the formulation and execution of the Private Bank’s Investment strategy. Darcie was instrumental in helping to define the client coverage model, the globalization of the regional businesses and in simplifying Citi Private Bank’s discretionary and advisory services. Darcie also led several critical initiatives in client performance reporting, technology and some of the firm’s most essential risk and regulatory projects.

Darcie holds a Bachelor of Arts in Arts and English Literature from the University of California at Santa Cruz and an MBA from the American Graduate School of International Management.

Daniel Schwartz

Daniel Schwartz is the Market Head – US-West Coast, Andean, and Central America Region. Previously, Daniel was CEO of Global Investor Services (GIS) until GIS’ merger with Northeast Securities which led to the formation of Insigneo. Daniel led the development of GIS from a wholesale trading platform to a multi-custodial open architecture independent broker-dealer.

Prior to joining GIS, Daniel was the President at Republic Federal Bank in Miami, formerly known as Hemisphere National Bank. His banking career expands 30 years also working at Republic National Bank of New York having held high-ranking positions including President and CEO of several subsidiaries. During his time there he spearheaded the banks’ expansion in Europe (Switzerland and Paris), Latin America (Chile and Mexico) and Canada. He held the position of Head of Latin American Lending during his time based in New York as well as managing the first year of the Bank’s Mexican operations out of Mexico City.

Daniel holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Babson College, a master’s degree in Business Administration from the Stern School of Business, New York University and he completed the International Management Program from Hautes Etudes Commercial (HEC) in Paris. He is currently serving on the Board of Directors to Florida Export Finance Corporation (FEFC), Salvadorian American Humanitarian Foundation (SAHF) and World Trade Center Miami. Daniel is fluent in English, Spanish and French, he is the proud father of two children and has been married for over 39 years.

Beatriz Gutierrez Junco

Beatriz Gutierrez Junco manages the compliance functions for the two affiliated Securities Exchange Commission (“SEC”) Registered Investment Advisers, Insigneo Wealth Advisors, LLC (“IWA”) and Insigneo Advisory Services, LLC (“IAS”). She is responsible for all aspects of compliance, implementing and maintaining supervisory procedures for the RIA’s and managing the operations for the multi-custodian model for IAS. She has 19 years of Compliance and Private Banking experience serving high net worth individuals. At Insigneo, Beatriz started as Head of Client Services and Operations for Insigneo Wealth Advisors and in 2012, she was appointed as Chief Compliance Officer.

Prior to joining Insigneo in 2011, she worked at Pacific National Bank where she held positions as AVP Customer Relationship Manager for domestic business, and prior to that she was the Treasury and FX Officer for the Bank.

Beatriz graduated with a Master of Science in Administrative Sciences with a dual concentration in Multinational Commerce and Financial Economics from Boston University. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Universidad del Rosario (Bogota, Colombia). Beatriz loves spending time with her large family, running and going to the beach to enjoy paddle boarding. She holds FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses.

Anabelle Teves

Anabelle Teves leads the Human Resources effort at Insigneo. She is responsible for creating and maintaining a culture that attracts and inspires the committed and passionate talent presently at Insigneo. She oversees talent development, staffing, employee benefits, salary administration and employee relations, and her expertise includes talent management and organizational development.

Anabelle brings over 20 years of human resources experience in various industries including telecommunications, hospitality and the financial services industry. Anabelle received her bachelor’s degree in Industrial Psychology from Universidad Femenina del Sagrado Corazon in Lima, Peru. She also holds a Human Resources Management Certificate from the University of Miami. Anabelle enjoys traveling with her husband and two children, she enjoys being outdoors and in touch with nature.

Ahmed Riesgo

As Insigneo’s CIO, Mr. Riesgo oversees all the company’s research and investment functions. This includes investment strategy, devising and implementing the firm’s global market views and asset allocation, communicating them to its clients and the public, and managing the firm’s model portfolios. In addition, he is the Chairman of the Insigneo Investment Committee. Prior to assuming this role, Mr. Riesgo was the firm’s Chief Investment Strategist. Before this, he was a Senior Trader on the GIS/Insigneo Sales & Trading Desk, an Associate at Credit Suisse and the law firm of Hunton & Williams, LLP.

Mr. Riesgo holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Political Science, magna cum laude, from the University of Miami and a Juris Doctorate from Columbia Law School where he received the Parker School Recognition of Achievement in International and Comparative Law. Mr. Riesgo has appeared in several publications and live newscasts including Bloomberg, CNN, Fox Business News, Cheddar News, Yahoo Finance, and more. His expertise lies in macroeconomic research and geopolitical strategy. In his spare time, Mr. Riesgo enjoys mountaineering, hiking, hunting, and diving. He is a National Member of The Explorer’s Club where he focuses on underwater archaeology.

Rodolfo Castilla

Rodolfo joined Citi in 2001 in Argentina and spent his first 6 years at the firm covering roles in areas such as Treasury, Branches (as an Onshore Wealth Officer), Risk Management, Marketing, Product Management, Sales and Strategic Planning. From 2007 to 2011, he led the design, regulatory approval and full execution plan for installing Citi’s South Cone International WM Hub in Uruguay, hiring the structures and teams to cover clients from Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay. After 4 years where the operation grew assets by 50% and he was promoted and relocated to New York to manage the International WM business managed from the NY and San Francisco offices. In 2013, he took over the role of Global Head of Wealth Management Products and Platforms, overseeing Citi’s Retail Bank 160Bn portfolio of Investment Products across 4 regions (US, Latam, Asia, Europe). He led several global projects including a simplification of 65% of the Asset Managers platform for Citi, improved repricing over 40Bn in global AUMs from Mutual Fund Houses, and launched the Citi-Wharton Global Wealth Institute covering over 3,700 FAs globally. In 2017, Rodolfo returned to Uruguay as South Cluster Head covering both Citi’s Uruguay offices as well as teams in the US covering South Cluster clients, which now also included Peru and Brazil. During the past 3 years, he increased the operation by a net ~1.3Bn positioning the firm as the no. 1 player in terms of assets for the region. Rodolfo is an Industrial Engineer from ITBA University in Buenos Aires, and holds a Master in Finance from Di Tella University as well as an Executive Education program from Wharton. He holds FINRA Series 7, 9 and 24.

Vicente Martin

Vicente Martin is a Managing Director and the Head of Structured Products at Insigneo. Prior to joining Insigneo, Vicente oversaw the Structured Investments business for International Wealth Management at Morgan Stanley in Miami for seven years. From 2000 until 2011, Vicente worked for Bank of America Merrill Lynch based in London, New York and Miami where he was a co-creator of the LATAM Structured Investments business. He led a team that received several industry awards. He also led the distribution of Alternatives Investments (Hedge Funds, Managed Futures and Private Equity) for Merrill Lynch Wealth Management in LATAM. Vicente began his professional career at Citi, based in London and Madrid, where he held several positions within Capital Markets covering Financial Institutions and Corporations based in Spain and Portugal.

Vicente holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Business Administration by INEDE (Barcelona), a Bachelor of Science in Economics by UNED (Madrid) and an Executive MBA by Instituto de Empresa (IE) Business School (Madrid). He is a golf enthusiast and a Real Madrid supporter.
