Miami, Florida, October 8, 2026 — Insigneo, a leading international wealth management firm, announced the appointment of Mercedes Garcia-Ayuso as Chief Investment Products Officer, Executive Director. Garcia-Ayuso reports directly to CEO and Chairman of the Board, Raúl Henríquez, and joins the firm’s Executive Committee.
As Chief Investment Products Officer, Garcia-Ayuso will lead the design, governance, and continued evolution of Insigneo’s client and advisor investment solutions across platforms and geographies. To support this strategic vision, Mercedes will oversee key capabilities across investment products, portfolio solutions, and insurance.

Garcia-Ayuso brings nearly 30 years of experience in the financial services industry, most recently serving in senior leadership roles within the Private Wealth sector across Latin America. Prior to joining Insigneo, she spent 18 years at Citi, most recently leading the Investment Counseling team for the region, excluding Mexico and Brazil. In that role, she advised ultra-high-net-worth individuals, family offices, and multi-family offices while overseeing a team responsible for investment portfolios across capital markets and managed investment solutions.

Before joining Citi in 2008, Garcia-Ayuso was a Client Portfolio Manager at Goldman Sachs Asset Management in New York, where she was part of the Active Equity U.S. Blend Team and worked closely with Goldman Sachs’ Private Wealth Management organization. Earlier in her career, she served as a Senior Sell-Side Equity Analyst covering the U.S. Machinery sector and began her career in Goldman Sachs’ Investment Banking Division in London.
Mercedes holds degrees in Law and Business Administration from ICADE in Spain and an MBA from Columbia Business School. She also holds FINRA Series 7, 24, 31, 63, 65, 86, and 87 licenses.
The appointment reflects Insigneo’s continued investment in its leadership and client solutions capabilities, further strengthening the resources available to Investment Professionals as they serve clients across the firm’s international markets.
